It seems like nowadays, people are born to surf.  That is, the number of households that have a computer now compared to ten years ago has significantly increased.  It shouldn’t be surprising then to find out that there is a strong correlation between the number of people who have computers in their homes to the number of people who also have the Internet.  To take it a step further, there is data that shows that of those people who have a computer and Internet access in their homes, most possess a college degree!  Who would’ve thought?  So, does that mean that people with computers are smarter than those without?  Not necessarily.  There are those people out there who choose not to have a computer: that’s right- they CHOOSE not to have one in the home for whatever various reasons.  But everywhere you go, there are computers!  Think about that for a minute.  All libraries have Internet access (and it’s usually free), and if you have a laptop computer, now a lot of restaurants and coffee shops, etc. are going wireless, allowing you to feed off of their Internet connection while you sip your mocha.  The world is computer/Internet friendly.  It’s no wonder that every day someone else is being born to surf the net!
