I remember when I first experienced USB, it was with my iMac DV back in 2000. I remember being so happy about it being hot-swap capable, and having such high speeds. Back then it was USB 1.1 (12 mega bits per second at full speed). After USB 2.0 (480 megabits per second at high speed) came out a few years ago I overjoyed, for I no longer had to wait 20 minutes to transfer a file to my external hard drive. Hold on to you seat, because according to a blogs cable review the newest USB compliance is to be released soon. This compliance will be designated USB 3.0, and will feature speeds of up to 4.8 GIGABITS per second. If you didn’t catch that, the previous speed was 480 megabits. 4.8 Giga bits is the equivalent to 4800 megabits, which is a ridiculous amount more!

Unfortunately, this technology won’t be released until sometime later this year, with commercial products coming out in 2009 or 2010. So if you can, hold off on getting that new computer until it is equipped with USB 3.0. I know I am, in the mean time I’ll just get a MacBook Pro

There are far to many internet based fax companies out there. We searched for the one that came closest to meeting our needs and came up with Myfax. There is no charge to install it and it can be used from any computer in the office. Our monthly rate is $10.00 and this give us 100 out going and 200 incoming faxes for free each month. If I have done the math right, that is right around 3 cents a fax. We do not have a large volume of faxes on either the incoming or outgoing side of the equation.

I am very much a frugal partner in our business and I am always trying to cut corners where I think we can get away it. The other day I was talked into getting a piece of Tandberg equipment because of the state of the art picture they have on their video conferencing machines. This would have been another area where I would have tried to cut corners but I am glad that I did not. The picture is really nice and there is no fuzzy noises in the background when we have a conference. This makes the entire seminars that we hold go much smoother.

I recently found out about a promotional cell phone plan that really got me excited. It involved high quality Orange phones for cheap prices. Cheap Orange mobile phones are never easy to find, so at first I was a little skeptical to see if this plan was real. It turns out that all you have to do is sign up for a cell phone plan, which you need anyway to be able to use a phone. I thought that it sounded like a win-win situation. I am planning to head over to the store today and purchase one of these phones.

Last week I went to my local computer and software store to find the best registry cleaner available. After speaking with a knowledgeable sales representative, I went home with several names of registry cleaner software products written down. I performed an internet search on each name. While searching and gathering information on each individual product, I ran across a web site that listed many of the top registry cleaners available on the market today. This was a comprehensive web site that gave me the details and facts I was looking for about each of the products I was considering purchasing.

Many millions of people enjoy listening to the radio every day but few of us give any thought to how it actually works. At its most basic level, radio is about transmitting signals along radio frequencies. There are two main frequencies for transmission; AM and FM. AM frequency can often feature a lot of interference and is not the smoothest signal FM frequency is a better quality broadcast than AM and can be quite crisp and clean. Traditional radio works over analogue signals. More recently, digital radio has been put into commercial use. A digital radio that is eco friendly is the Wind up DAB radio.

If you have ever had a mystery phone call and wanted to know who made it you know it isn’t usually all that easy to find out. I discovered that there are services you can use to lookup cell phone owners. All you need it the number, including the area code. The fee is usually well worth the information you get. You can find out the owner of record and even their address among other information you may not even have thought of. Since there is a fee involved it isn’t a service that will be used by kids but by people that have reason enough to pay to find this information.

How Do Liquid Crystal Display Televisions Work?

LCD products are moderately difficult & are developing each day. This technology is founded upon the fact that liquid crystals are, in their natural condition, twisted. The aptitude of the crystals to allow light through can be amended by submitting electric voltage. Very simply put, a light source is sent through a liquid containing crystals held between 2 polarised displays. By applying the right quantity of light to go through, the needed image is constructed.
