Fountains for the event

My wife and I are going to be hosing a really big event on the 29th of next month. We have been planning and planning for months and it all is going to come to a finale sooner than I am ready. However, I know that my wife is excellent at preparation and assures me that everything is taken care of. I have great trust in my wife and know that everything from the desserts to the decorations are covered. My most favorite thing about her decorations is the water fountains that she has made as the center piece of everything.

Earlier this year, the government rolled out a homeowner rescue plan for those that could not make their mortgage payments and risked the possibility of default on their home loan. Politically, this was a wonderful event and made everyone feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Many looking to utilize the program for a refinance home mortgage lost their giddy enthusiasm once the details were rolled out.

First, it was rolled out as a lender optional plan. If the lender did not wish to take a loss on the mortgage, they were not obliged to conform and refinance the borrower. Secondly, the borrower would have to share the profit proceeds from a future sale of the home with the refinancing lender. In some cases, all proceeds from the home sale would go directly to the lender. Not much incentive for a refinance home mortgage, when the borrower is already upside down on their current home loan.

I went out and bought myself a used truck, spur of the moment. I did not take the time to think before I did it. I really should have checked out some chevrolet car reviews, just so I would have known what I was getting myself into. Thankfully, I came home and read them afterwards and found nothing to complain about. I was happy with what people had said about their own chevrolet vehicles, and have not found anything wrong with mine yet. It is a good, reliable truck. The only thing I have to complain about is how expensive the gas is right now!

Florida’s Governor, Charlie Crist, has proposed new legislation that would allow adult children to stay on their parent’s insurance plan even if they are no longer in school. Along with this proposal, the Governor has also proposed that there no longer be income restraints on the state’s KidCare insurance program. Since most health insurance news in Florida is not very promising, it is certainly refreshing to hear that Florida’s government is making positive strides.

Although statistics show that 47% of Floridians are covered by employer health care plans, there are still 21% who have no health care coverage, which is higher then the national average of 16%. These statistics also show that Florida is second in having the most uninsured children in the nation. While this certainly is not good Florida health insurance news, with Florida’s Governor, legislature, and Florida’s insurance industry working together to come up with viable plans to assure that all Floridians have health insurance coverage, we can expect health insurance news in Florida to be much brighter in the future.

Although health care providers in Florida have much work to do when it comes to quickly treating pneumonia, statistically Florida does very well, compared to other states, when it comes to the number of children receiving vaccinations, prostate cancer deaths, colorectal cancer deaths, and in early detection of breast cancer in women.

USB 3.0 coming soon?

I remember when I first experienced USB, it was with my iMac DV back in 2000. I remember being so happy about it being hot-swap capable, and having such high speeds. Back then it was USB 1.1 (12 mega bits per second at full speed). After USB 2.0 (480 megabits per second at high speed) came out a few years ago I overjoyed, for I no longer had to wait 20 minutes to transfer a file to my external hard drive. Hold on to you seat, because according to a blogs cable review the newest USB compliance is to be released soon. This compliance will be designated USB 3.0, and will feature speeds of up to 4.8 GIGABITS per second. If you didn’t catch that, the previous speed was 480 megabits. 4.8 Giga bits is the equivalent to 4800 megabits, which is a ridiculous amount more!

Unfortunately, this technology won’t be released until sometime later this year, with commercial products coming out in 2009 or 2010. So if you can, hold off on getting that new computer until it is equipped with USB 3.0. I know I am, in the mean time I’ll just get a MacBook Pro
