My son really enjoys being in boy scouts. They learn about so many things that are really neglected in this day and age. Things like how to tie knots, build fires, and wilderness survival in general. He is also learning about plant life. Plants that have medicinal properties, plants that are edible, and also plants that are poisonous. Poiison ivy knowledge is a good thing to have for anyone because so many people are allergic to these plants. His troop is going on a camping trip in a few weeks to practice some of the skills that they have been learning.
