The most common accessory at a birthday party (aside from the cake and candles of course) is a set of balloons. or some reason, an inflated bit of plastic signifies a celebration. I don’t know why this is, nor why people love them so much. I used to be terrified of balloons. There’s always that fear that they will suddenly go pop as your puffing into them, and somehow manage to take your eye out. That’s if you can get them inflated in the first place. In the past I have spent hours blowing into a balloon to no avail. Light a Sky Lantern instead. It’s so much easier!
