A friend of mine is a gay mormon, but it’s something he was never open about. He made hints that he had homosexual feelings and was never going to act on them. He wanted to get married and have a family, but he also wanted to be fair to whoever married him. If he didn’t fall in love with a woman, then he wouldn’t get married. He prefers to remain celibate. He spent his teen years looking for the church to join and believed the LDS church to be true. He was very upset when some non-LDS friends dragged him into a gay bar to try to force him to accept his gayness. He called some Mormon friends and asked them to pick him up. I really admire him. It would be hard to be a gay mormon.
