People are beginning to appreciate that wireless networking is the technology of the future. Our world appears far smaller now that individuals from around the world can exchange info at the push of a button. Using wireless networks at the office has made them more effective and safer places to be. PCs, faxes and printers can now all be connected without cables. You can now have access to machines belonging to other people and centralized data at the office without being ‘wired in’ to them.

It is more convenient at home as well, as you are not tied down to a certain place in your home to perform all your personal computer’s functions. When you first get to use a wireless network, you may wonder how you ever got by without one and you will be pleased never to have to return to the wire systems again.

There are folks that believe there are health issues regarding electromagnetic radiation and the use of wireless networks that need to be addressed. This has still to be proved, and the advantages so massively outweigh what is seen as a possible threat that, for the general public, it is not really worth taking into consideration. My next post will be about, secure wireless network.
