The other day, in our introduction to HTML class, we learned that the “size” attribute for text display is a numeric value from 1 to 7. This size attribute should not be confused with text point size. In HTML coding, the number 1 refers to the smallest size available, while the number 7 refers to the largest size available on that person’s computer. The number 1 here does not refer to one point type — which would be unreadable to the human eye! Many people who learn to do HTML coding who have had some familiarity with a word processing application are sometimes confused on this point.
